Fruit Distillates are the water-soluble, clear liquids
that are derived from the named fruit components after the juicing or
pureeing process.
- Distillates are the highly volatile high-boiler esters, which subtly
complete the flavor profile of a specific fruit.
- Distillates have no added artificial ingredients and can assist
in developing 100% natural products.
Essences are the water-soluble, clear liquids that
are derived from the juice or puree system during the pre-heat stage
of the concentration process.
- Essences are the low-boiler esters, which are the main flavor components
of a specific fruit.
- Essences are flashed off and condensed in a distillery type column
prior to the first concentration stage of an evaporator.
Applications
- Beverage: enhance juices, drinks, flavored waters,
cordials, etc.
- Confectionery: hard fruit candy and gum drops,
gummy bears
- Flavor Development: a natural ingredient to provide
raspberry aspects.
- Custom Blending: to enhance formulas with a natural
component.

- Storage: between 38 – 45°F
- Shelf life: min. 2 years under correct storage temperature and
conditions.
- Typical application rate: between 0.5% and 1.5%.
